Description For Each Board Positions

President: Responsible for running club meetings, running board meetings, contacting club members, organizing volunteer projects, co-head of community service committee, keeps in touch with Lieutenant Governor (LTG).  Expect to spend 7-10 hours a week.  Previous Board Experience recommended.

Vice President: Assists president in running club meetings and board meetings, organizes volunteer projects, co-head of community service committee.

Expect to spend about 5 hours a week.

Treasurer: Responsible for collecting dues and keeping track of club funds, attends all board meetings, oversees fundraising committee.

Expect to spend 1-2 hours a week.

Secretary: Responsible for taking attendance at all club meetings and volunteer events, keeps minutes of club meetings, submits monthly reports to LTG, attends all board meetings.  

Expect to spend 1-2 hours a week.

Editor: Maintains website, writes article for "Speak to Peak", oversees advertising committee, attends all board meetings.  

Expect to spend about an hour a week. 

Please note that all members of the board are held to a high standard of participation and may be asked to attend volunteer projects above and beyond the required 10 hours of volunteering.  No previous board experience is necessary (except for president) and any age student is eligible for election; all that we ask is that you are genuinely dedicated to being a member of the board.

Training will be held by current board members after elections.
